Before joining Venturing Out, Laura served at Harvard Business School as a senior researcher for the school’s Global Research Group and at London Business School as a strategic management casewriter. A serial entrepreneur herself, Laura launched publishing and marketing consulting firms in the Boston area before being lured into academia. She served as director of marketing for MIT Sloan Management Review and Frontline Publishing and as corporate marketing director for Harvard Business School Publishing. 

Laura holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a BS from Boston University.

Venturing Out (formerly Entrepreneurship 101) was founded by Baillie Aaron. Aaron graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University, where she majored in Psychology and Economics. She started Entrepreneurship 101 in 2008 while working at Harvard Kennedy School's Program in Criminal Justice Policy and Management. 

Baillie was inducted into the JA Boston Business Hall of Fame in March 2010 for her work with Entrepreneurship 101. She is a 2010 CJP/PresenTense Social Entrepreneurship Fellow and a recipient of the 2004 Alberta Young Entrepreneurs Award of Distinction.
